3 Terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in 60 hours : Firing at Army check post in Doda, 5 soldiers injured; Havildar martyred in Kathua, 2 terrorists killed
In the past 60 hours, three terrorist attacks have occurred consecutively in Reasi, Kathua, and Doda of Jammu and Kashmir. Nine devotees have lost their lives. Incident: Militants opened fire on the joint check post of 4 Rashtriya Rifles and police on the Bhaderwah-Pathankot road. Five soldiers and a Special Police Officer (SPO) were wounded. The terrorist group Kashmir Tigers (JEM/Jaish) claimed responsibility for the assault.

Location: Kathua, Jammu
Incident: In Saida Sohal village of Hiranagar near the Pakistan border, two militants knocked on the doors of houses asking for water. When the villagers became suspicious, they shut the doors and raised an alarm. The terrorists opened fire, injuring one villager. When the DIG and SSP arrived, one militant fired at their vehicle and was killed while throwing a grenade.
On June 12, another terrorist was neutralized in the encounter that continued for the second consecutive day. Police recovered an American-made M4 carbine from the terrorist. The operation is still ongoing, as security forces suspect another militant is hiding.

Incident: On the oath-taking day of the Modi government, militants fired 25-30 rounds at a bus traveling from Shiv Khodi to Katra in the Kanda area. The driver was shot, causing the bus to fall into a ditch. Nine devotees perished and 41 were injured. Police released a sketch of the suspected terrorist and offered a reward of Rs 20 lakh.
